Eaglewood Alpaca Stud

Eaglewood Alpaca Stud was established in 2004 based on animals from some of the leading studs in the Southern NSW Region including Clearview, Paddington Alpacas and Alpacapeña to name a few.

We decided to venture into this industry for a number of reasons:

The animals have a terrific personality and are tremendous with children
The fibre is excellent with a high degree of comfort and creates the most magnificent garments. It is a quality product that has enormous potential
Wethers can be used as herd guards
Longevity—females can breed until they are 15 years plus
Management is relatively easier than sheep and can be adapted to many small acreages

We aim to breed animals that have density, fineness and structural correctness. In this endeavour we have utilised some of the premier males available today such as Benleigh Lorimer (Supreme Champion at the 2005 Charles Ledger Show) and Ambersun Romanza (Senior Champion and top price animal at the 2003 National Show).

Eaglewood always has animals available for sale to suit every price bracket and can offer agistment and a full management service for investors.

Investment packages can be developed to offer the investor a long term investment that has postive returns/total tax effectiveness and can incorporate accommodation packages at Eaglewood B&B.
